He KakanoTE AWE O NGā TOROA

Our team

The project team has developed a collaborative approach that combines the strengths of two institutions: the Centre for Māori Educational Research in the Faculty of Education at the University of Waikato and the Indigenous Leadership Centre at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiarangi. As a group we adopt the collective name Te Awe o ngā Toroa (The Feather of the Albatross), given by our kaumatua Sir Sidney Mead (Hirini Moko Mead).
